Richard sez: ...against someone talking about that which we wish to know more. heh heh heh, Richard, that was a good one. Didn't know Reece was so busy stripping us of our freedoms that he didn't have time to post on GPM recently. That's funny!
Yes, it IS good to hang out with people who like to talk about gold, especially now that I've got my little fiefdom 'saucered and blowed' as Ken Gammage loves to say.
Moving out to a part of the great Northwest where gold is not only 'talked about' with both proper respect but ardently pursued and even still guarded with the long rifle and the very visible sidearm is a welcome change from the backstabbing big city where the evening news is always about murder and mayhem instead of blood, sweat, tears, and the price of gold.
Ran across another fine young couple who opened a pay to pan place just spring a year ago on their 10 acres on a famous gold bearing creek out here on the east side. Man have they had fun for the last two summers, and made some money, too, showing people where to find it, how to retrieve it and then send them home with the yellow in tow.
Didn't know there were any little enterprises around like that anymore until I was talking to an outfit who sold them their highbankers and THEY handed me their brochure.
Most folks don't know anyone still makes goldpans anymore, let alone is left to teach others how to use one.
I'll say one thing about all this, Richard: this life is so far removed from the Munk and CB shennigans, one would have a hard time knowing they were on the same planet as those two entities.
Sure, the price of gold has been manipulated lower, but those of us that have it and have the mines can outwait the bastards who are playing the games. We know what we have, and until we remove it, all there is to shuffle is what is above ground.
And of course, at the rate gold is discarded in its plated form annually, some 17,000,000+ troy ounces in 1998 last I heard, it won't be too long before someone stakes a claim on a garbage dump and mines the gold out of there.<g>
In the meantime, I'll just go to the bank any time I want to, riverbank either for alluvial/placer gold or to the main vein and pull out what I need. Talk about financial security. WOW! Frankly, I kind of wish you were here, Richard...I could use a "material handling" tip or two at my new hideout. And then I'd take you down to Roy's and let you yak with him in person. Next thing you know, you'll be claiming land next to mine!(grin)
Keep ole Ron on his toes for me. I never did like talking to that guy and I see nothing has changed! HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeehaw!
