You'll notice that even Intel is softening its stance on RDRAM. From a CNET article posted a few days back, "Intel says it has billed Rambus not as a miracle cure for PC performance today but as a necessary step in coming years to be able to take advantage of ever-faster processors."

By the way, if you noticed the tone of my posts, I've also tempered my optimism with caution over the past six months. I can't speak for Rambus or anyone else on this thread. But I do notice that the anti-Rambus folks sure haven't toned down their jihad, and in fact they may have been emboldened by the Camino delay and the softening of Intel's position.

<Sorry, the independent benchmarks of Rambus all show them being slower than Sdram. So it's reasonable to expect that they'll be even slower against DDR.>

KZ, if you really believe those benchmarks, then I'm afraid there's not much more we can talk about without this degenerating into a flamewar.
