The stock closed at 19 1/2 today on 136000 shares, it appears the selling has dried up, and the stock is on the move again. If UTCC continues with new business as stated below news release then only good things COULD HAPPEN. (IMHO)

SUNRISE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 1999--Ursus Telecom Corporation (NASDAQ/NMS:UTCC) today announced that it has commissioned its new Nortel Multiservice Switch in Argentina and effective Friday, September 17, 1999, began routing traffic on the new state-of-the-art network.

According to Jeffrey Chaskin, President of Ursus Telecom, "The Nortel Multiservice platform is our network standard. This switch allows us to efficiently provision simultaneous support for voice, data, video, and image traffic into the Internet, Intranets and Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), take advantage of sophisticated traffic prioritization and quality of service (QoS) capabilities, and manage it all from our centralized flexible management system."

Ursus intends to double its bandwidth next week and double it again before the end of October, 1999, fulfilling the demand from its embedded customer base and making headroom for service requests derived from the Company's theSTREAM.com e-business unit.

Ursus expects its Nortel Mediterranean hub in Greece to be commissioned this month, and additional Nortel switches will be deployed in other locations in conjunction with the Company's IP telephony and Internet initiatives.

Concluding, Chaskin added, "We have a high focus on the rapid implementation of this robust carrier-class Nortel solution. With Latin American deployment well underway, Asia is now on our strategic radar screen for the near future."

The Nortel family of Multiservice Switches provide leading edge technology which delivers IP routing and consolidation, frame relay, ATM, and multiservice access. This provides the ability for end users to conduct multiple voice calls, fax and data transmissions, advanced applications and Internet sessions over a single link to the Ursus network, eliminating the need to lease separate, underutilized links for each service.
