Should the quack occur in Mars instead of Taiwan, MU might have been in down trend! Although the quack pushed me to go long MU right after the news came, I guess I won't hold it for long. I feel shaky about the run up because this runup has been backed by investors who bet DRAM shortage would get much worse due to the quacks in Taiwan. However Taiwan is also a major provider of PC mother boards and other chips (said to provide 2/3 world supply vs. 1/5 that of DRAM). Logically, PC makers would buy DRAM along with other parts. Since supplies of other parts must also be in trouble, then why they need to buy the normal amount of DRAM in near future at the highest prices they have to pay? If mother board supply is short, fewer DRAM will be used. No one seems to worry about it. Or I missed something? Sorry for this analysis while Taiwanese people are digging up victims.
