Interesting post on raging bull. States that new options can not be opened on Vivus unless the stock trades above 5 and for an extended time.

This may explain the previous rumors several months ago that no more options would be sold on Vivus.

Then we spiked above 5 and options reappeared...so I don't know how much time it really has to trade above 5.

I would create an interesting senario to see what would happpen to the short postion if no options existed.

I personnallty do not believe much short covering has occurred as even friday's trading was very low for much actual covering to have occurred.

First divide by 2 so really only 500,000 traded. then you have the day trading to take out. Every month there are claims of short covering. Then the numbers come out and no appreciable change is seen.

I think we still have a good 5+ mm shares to be covered.
