IMHO, BJP has achieved a whole lot more in their 13 months in the driver's seat than they are given credit to. Why US and the west considers India as a true friend in South Asia is entirely due to Vajpayee and his winning team. Indira Gandhi was a hated woman those days. Rajiv Gandhi cut a sorry figure. But Vajpayee soaked in public service for 40 yrs and more , a true son of the soil and Bharath Mata, is a true patriot, brought the country to the forefront and earned the respect of the world and all those who matter.
