red,
I doubt there will be a quick settlement, other than the courts not allowing Aber's claim to proceed. The 16% is just tooo valuable. Lamacraft, the new boss at Aber, is one cagey old fox-anyone familiar with Conwest since the 1950's knows that. Most deals Lamacraft has done, he came out on top and miles and miles ahead. Also, I doubt RT is a cheap date:-))The rumors I hear suggest that they are considering financing packages from brokerages, takeover offers and equity participation proposals from majors. When it rains it pours eh:-))My preference would be a surprise takeover like what happened to Sutton earlier in the year. $12 a share would be nice too, if they can get it:-))
regards,
teevee
