John G.,

Thanks for your thoughtful responses to my questions and comments. I had been liquidating stocks for the last 5 weeks or so, until I reached an 80% cash position last Thursday, my highest cash in several years. In the past I failed to pay adequate heed to investor sentiment, but I have decided to follow it more closely, largely due to your excellent thread.

Since you have obviously given much thought to sentiment indicators, I wonder how you view the put-call ratio, which seems to have the "purity" of measuring behavior rather than mere thought. I would imagine that historical data exists for this indicator for at least 2 decades.

Keep up the good work.
