Because you sell things, you may be interested in my discovery ~ in fact, you may already know about it. You already know about bubble-wrap, but I just found out today there is stuff that comes in rolls that is basically plastic wrap, the cling wrap kind that sticks to itself, only the rolls are about 6 inches wide, and you can put it on a handle device like packing tape, and use it like tape, only it doesn't stick to anything but itself. It's fantastic for packing, especially for securing bubble wrap. Just bubble-wrap the object, then whip this plastic stuff around and around, and the bubble wrap is tightly secured. I also used it to secure the little drawers in a table, it doesn't have any sticky so it doesn't affect the finish. I also used it to wrap around some boxes of stuff like flour that were open, to keep them from spilling out. It's wonderful. The label shows a picture of someone using it to seal up an open bag, just the thing for my bags of potting soil. Also, the bubble wrap I bought is perforated every 12 inches.
The last time I moved, I had to wrap everything breakable in newspaper. I never broke anything moving within the same city, but I did break stuff when I moved to Virginia from New Orleans. I don't think anything is gonna break now. |
