Those mobo manufacturers will be uncompetitive then, because the pictures of the VC820 board that Intel is selling shows 3 RIMM sockets in the photo. In fact, there are only 2 DIMM sockets on the CC820 SDRAM board. See slides 9 and 32 in the presentation Jdassoc referenced earlier.
