Hey, X. Thread's about "feelings." If much-loved children leaving the nest don't measure up to UPS and bubble wrap, I'm tempted to assume you don't have any little Xes.

Mind you, I said "tempted." I've been in trouble here before for making outright assumptions.

If, in fact, I made a good guess, I'll make you a deal. If you promise not describe what it should or shouldn't feel like for a parent to let a child go, I promise never to describe what it feels like to give birth.

This meant as a critical but not a hostile post. Much of what you say is genuinely interesting and thought provoking to me.
