Dan3, And I've never seen the obvious comparison made - a PC with 128 meg of Rambus and an otherwise Identical one with 256meg of PC133 or DDR or VC. That's how they will be competing for our desktops - and I don't doubt that doubling the system memory will result in a clear performance increase. I am running W2000 RC2 build 2128 and I find that for ordinary applications the memory "high water mark" seldom exceeds 120 Mbyte. For these applications more memory than 128 Mbytes makes no difference whatsoever. For other programs, like fpga design software it makes a huge difference. John
