Phil, too strong and too broad was your post. Every country has foreign investors getting the short end of the stick and even pushed off a cliff. In the opposite direction every country has its share of being shafted by foreigners.
Presently, as was noted last year on this thread, Mongolia has been going thru many changes in its government structure and leaders both in the government and the private sector.
This MGR/MAC situation is not represenative of outsiders doing business there.
Many Mongolian citizens are very unhappy with the current state of affairs between MGR and their country, and understand that a few persons in the MAC group keep their money and power status using corrupt means, and at the same time show no respect for their country of Mongolia thru their public display of bring dishonor to it.
That is why, in my opinion, just so long as Dave Webb holds strong onto the rule of law set down in the past by the Mongolian government, and the fact that Mongolia wants good economic and commerce relationships with other nations, that over time Mongolia will not let MAC obtain the Bumbat mine without a settlement agreeable to MGR/Dave Webb.
Its possible that MAC's main focus is to get out free and clear of their not legit dealings with the Mongolian bank.
Time is on our side in that we cannot loose any more than current, but we can obtain very much more, especially if the GATA angle is for real.
In my opinion the MGR/MAC/bank mess is very much a current and ongoing important issue/problem with with many important Mongolian citizens.
Once again, if the price of gold increases to a high level predict by the current GATA thoughts, then this will influence this mess in a very good way for all, including MAC.
