PCNTF looking for "strategic partner". <<PacNet not in swap with PacCentury Cyber September 23, 1999 04:35 AM SINGAPORE, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Pacific Internet is not involved in the share swap with Pacific Century Cyberworks Ltd , a spokesman from SembCorp Industries Ltd said on Thursday. "Pacific Century Cyberworks' share swap has nothing to do with us," the spokesman told Reuters. Speculation that Nasdaq-listed Pacific Internet was involved surfaced after the Hong Kong stock exchange announced on Thursday Pacific Century Cyberworks was in a share swap transaction with a Nasdaq-listed company. The link to PacNet was heightened after SembCorp Industries said it planned to cut its 42 percent stake in Pacific Internet, an Internet Service Provider, to between five and 10 percent eventually. SembCorp has said it was now looking for an adviser to help it find a strategic partner to grow Pacific Internet's business globally. SembCorp Industries' shares were trading up three cents at S$2.04 by 0850 GMT.>>
