I lost all my old bookmarks when the Packard Bell died, so I'll have to dig(pun intended) for some of the links I've lost. The "pay for pan" is open only in summer & more tourist oriented, as for the black sand, they don't give it to you, you have to go pan out your own from Clear Creek.

Think your geography is off a bit, (Unless you were talking about a different area & I didn't get it) Cripple Creek is above Colorado Springs of Hwy 24, not on southwest corner of state. I'll ask some questions & see if some panning operations there are any looking to sell parts of their businesses.
