Ed Bursk Joins Datametrics Systems Corporation as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Datametrics Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Zitel Corporation (Nasdaq: ZITL - news), today announced that Ed Bursk has joined the Company as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Bursk most recently was Vice President of Corporate Marketing Strategy for Nortel Networks, as that company repositioned itself as a leading Internet and networking equipment supplier.

The appointment of Bursk enhances greatly the marketing expertise of the Company's executive team, led by Datametrics President Hank Harris and Zitel CEO Asa Lanum.

``Ed brings over 20 years of marketing and management experience that will enable us to turn up the heat on our marketing activities,' said Mr. Harris. ``As we expand our product and service offerings, having a seasoned veteran like Ed on the team lets us maximize current business, plus rapidly enter new markets.'

Prior to joining Datametrics, Bursk held senior executive and marketing positions with Nortel Networks, OST (acquired by Newbridge Networks), FastComm, Dynatech, Netrix, and Hughes Network Systems -- pioneering Internet access, telephony, and network management products. In addition, Bursk is a published author and speaker on real-world business and communications issues, and a former V.P. of Worldwide Marketing and Board member for the Frame Relay Forum, a consortium of networking vendors, carriers, and Internet service providers.

``I'm thrilled to be joining Datametrics now -- the company is in the right place, at the right time, with the right products and services,' Bursk commented. ``As companies implement or outsource their e-business infrastructures, the need for our intelligent and Internet-savvy performance management platform has never been greater!'
