<< most analog networks are still around the world >>

Most are in the America's are they not?

I just clipped this last evening from a VODABAM announcement.

"However Bell Atlantic is still in the process of upgrading its analog AMPS network to CDMA, with only 13% of its users upgraded to digital according to IDC's Pottorf"

The 13% really surprised me. I'm a long time BAM user from the AMPS days and have been CDMA (albeit with AMPS) digital for going on 3 years for domestic travel. I'm all over the US and on digital 90% of the time. Coverage darned near every where I go and I'm not always in major metros.

The statistic really surprised me. BAM is pretty well built out digitally it would seem. A little marketing is in order, and a little data as well (coming soon).

Just my thoughts.
