Is this the interpreted vs compiled BASIC debate deja vu? My experience with programming, which goes back 27 years, is that a structured programming approach to computer program design can optimize any code to the point where the constraints are the hardware not the software. It is my impression that Novell uses JAVA as the calling language in its Zen line of products to the more powerful and efficient NLM's. Could someone with better knowledge define the situation.
