True real life is always different from the lab. Most accidents are the fender benders but with some of the "cheaper" made SUV's if you watched the way the drivers compartment either colapsed in the lower areas (creating severe damage to the feet and legs) or the seats or doors moving (where the head was banged around) you'd think twice about some of the models (especially the jeep and explorer, the two highest selling, by volumn, models).

Now realize where I'm coming from. I drive a volvo. My wife drives a volvo and our next purchase will be a volvo. I go too far (extreme might be a good term) on the caution side with a car (to make up for some of my driving skills (or lack thereof).
