Lets see, Taiwan account for 80% of motherboards and 8% of dram. So if taiwan gets knocked down for a little or a long while, we lose more motherboard production than dram production. Most dram is used in motherboards so....dram prices should be down not up. Sorry, I cant buy that dram is up because of Taiwan. Reasoning doesnt follow. If its up in the contract market, it means that boxmakers are overpaying / overbuilding / overordering and either going cancel some orders or suffer in the margin column. (imo)
