qwik surprised that sun.com's 500k downloads didn't get them more oomph? let's think out loud. suppose msft in two or three years has 130 million people worldwide using office. suppose msft then says, for those that want to, you can get the next version for free, or for a nominal charge. but you have to get it HERE, at msn.com. what would that do to starbloat.com? what would that do to traffic on msn.com? Please note that not all users would do this. some would still buy it preinstalled on a PC. Some would still want a CD. My point is that staroffice.com is DOA because by the time bandwith arrives to make this a viable idea, m$ft will have already responded.
