I just got a new phone. I read the instructions. Some of them are pretty amusing.

9. Never spill liquid on the product.
12. Do not place lighted candles on the telephone.
14. Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm.
20. Do not place the telephone on an unstable stand or table. The telephone may fall and be seriously damaged.

...and this one is my favorite, (like somebody that would do this would read the instructions in the first place...)

19. Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak if the telephone is in the vicinity of the gas leak.
