Tim, I believe wallstreet has honest people and dishonest people. I believe that most people are honest.

If a specialist knew of a takeover, the worst thing he or she could do is to take advantage of that information ON THE FLOOR OF THE NYSE in front of every computer and analyst around. He might as well wear a big red flag on his head.... "hey look at me everyone, I'm accumulating 20 times the stock of CS than I would normally would the week the stock gets bought out." - BAD MOVE

If the specialist were cleaver, he wold open an account in London and buy the stock on the London exchange or in the cayman islands, or in his dog's name, or his mother-in-law's name.... if he really knew that CS was being bought out.

You don't get away with too much when you pull a fast one right there on the floor of the NYSE.
