Thomas,
BEA's leases are in the foothills so once acquired through a land sale, the longest period of time they may be held by paying annual rentals is 5 years. With each well he has drilled he will be able to continue a certain amount of acreage beyond the five years(depth dependant), but the rest of the vast acreage tracts will revert to the crown. After reversion to the crown, anyone can post it for sale again. If there is any interest, the majors will post it and bid accordingly. The large companys always are prepared to wait out undercapitalized juniors like BEA. Sounds like BEA is washed up to me. Good luck.
regards,
teevee
