>>What spooked the mkt?
Beats me. The air is pretty thin up here (well, up where we were Monday, anyway). I notice AGIL plunged to...its 13-day ema, where it bounced.
I was the poster-child for complacency today. Buying HIFN around the 50 ema has worked well this year, so I bought some when it looked like it was holding there again, and didn't place a stop! Again, when we've come this far this fast, I think explanations turn into handwaving pretty fast. Was HIFN just down in sympathy with the general market? Is the legacy business falling apart faster than the new business is kicking in? Are they going to get hit by Taiwan problems? Could be any or all, but bottom line, the stock is up about 6-fold and people are kind of trigger-happy.
I'll be curious to see if any IPOs get postponed. Goldman had a deal today, admittedly a yesterday's news, e-commerce retailer kind of thing, which ended the day where it priced, I think. |
