I'm learning about TA now. I'm reading a big book. I don't think there's
any recognizable trend here yet. It looks like we're making a double
bottom matched with last summer, but we don't know yet that it will hold.
The stock has been moving back and forth between 22 and 29. I don't think
it means that much if it goes to 27 once and 28 another time. If there
as a trend there we broke it when it fell to 22. I think the rumors
in both directions about earnings are pushing it and will likely continue
to do so. I sold all the calls I bought at close Thurs. at close Fri.
They were Aug. calls. so I didn't do as well as a nearer date, but in
case the stock had continued to drop I would not have had a heart attack.
I still have a long position but my bet is it doesn't break out before earnings.
It could though. Funny now everyone thinks the company is
doing great when everyone was so worried Thurs. If it fails to break out the
worry will come back. You can bet the shorts will try to push it back
down unless the volume is too high for them. We shouldn't give specific
numbers though because the shorts will play around with them to manipulate
the TA's. I guess if they can do that though then it also means they
still have the upper hand.
