Anniversary Show

WILTON, Conn., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- J-Bird Music Group LTD
(OTC Bulletin Board: JBRD) announced today that J-Bird Records recording
artist Christine Ohlman will sing alongside legendary soul singer Al Green in
celebration of Saturday Night Live's 25th anniversary special. The show airs
Sunday, September 26 at 9PM on NBC. Ohlman will support Green singing his hit
"Let's Stay Together" and "Everything's Gonna Be Alright." She will also
handle lead vocals for the SNL band throughout the evening's broadcast.
J-Bird Records recently announced the upcoming release of the CD Wicked
Time from the trademark beehive blonde Ohlman. Wicked Time is scheduled for a
February 2000 retail release. It is available now only through J-Bird's "Fans
First" pre-retail marketing program, which allows fans to purchase the
recording at the J-Bird e-commerce web site at j-birdrecords.com
before it becomes available in stores. Wicked Time's title track will be the
first mp3 file available for download at the J-Bird web site.
Ohlman is currently touring the East Coast with her band Rebel Montez,
including upcoming NYC shows at The Mercury Lounge (Sept. 28), The Bottom Line
(Oct. 1, Dec. 17-18) and Arlene Grocery (Oct. 15). Ohlman's fiery live
performances and scorching vocals have made her shows one of the hottest
tickets in the Northeast and earned the respect and acclaim of fellow
musicians. Being a part of the R&B Foundation Pioneer Awards house band with
Ry Cooder, Steve Cropper and Maceo Parker; singing with George Harrison and
Chrissy Hynde at the Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Tribute Concert; and
performances on the 1998 Grammy nominee A Tribute To Howlin' Wolf are just a
few highlights that give testament to her stature among fellow musicians.
The Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary special airs Sunday,
September 26 at 9PM on NBC.
