Hi Tom,

Here are your answers... and note that EXPLORER in Metatstock is a set of formal routines both provided by with the package and also added to by the owner...

- Change level in 200 MA vs other MAs? Answer: If yesterday's MA is higher than today's, we are in a downtrend. And vice versa. I use the 200 MA as a filter and use the 50 MA to provide additional information... as you say.

- Raff channels were developed by Gil Raff and, using least square trendlines, bracket the trend. It is part of my Metastock package.

- I only buy options. I am chicken, in THIS market, to short same.

- Volatility - I use a combination of VHF and ADX to determine volatility.

You really should try Metastock... it is simply incredible.
