I've only been watching CNBC full-time for one year but I have to admit I was extremely surprised at Maria's report. First, there wasn't much to report. She simply said "watch CS tomorrow." Second, CNBC just did a segment yesterday about analysts who get a heads up prior to big news. CNBC even stated that they have been called ahead of news. Then I see Maria reporting no news on CS, but rumor talk...and based on what? the stock price falling?. This really surprised me. Generally, they don't report on rumors unless the stock has moved substantially up. CS moved down today on high volume. While the entire market was down, I still find it unusual that CNBC chose today to comment on CS takeover rumors. Perhaps they have received a tip. Perhaps Faber has been tasked to research the rumors. Afterall, GEC owns CNBC. Afterall, CNBC purchases CS products.

Ah but who am I to speculate. Let's just say I think tomorrow will be very iteresting. Tim, I thought CS was a takeover target 1.5 years ago and I bought a speculative position at that time. I have been skeptical the last few weeks but I am starting to get the feeling that this may at last be time for them to go. Good luck everyone in your speculations!!
