Tom,

Thanks again.

Sent my first check via Checkfree through Yahoo today. I would have done it sooner, but I paid all my bills by paper check before I got my activation code from Yahoo.

My first check ought to be a good test. I sent it to the guy who delivers my newspaper. Had to look up his home phone number to fill in the payee form.

I've already noticed one difference with Checkfree compared to the bill paying service I had at my credit union in Houston (which was powered by Moneyline Express). The Moneyline Express account let me send the check on the next business day after I entered the payment. Yahoo required five days, the first date it would let me send it was on the 29th.

I suspect the reason for the difference is that Moneyline Express was actually connected to my bank account and could immediately verify that the funds were available to pay the bill. I can't think of any other reason - does anyone else have a suggestion?

Bruce
