The Fitzroy Harbour trip should be great. I occasionally paddle up on the Mississippi between Pakenham and Blakeney which is in the same general vicinity. The leaves are usually very nice up along the Carp Ridge. Do you ever cycle up in the area around the Mill of Kintail between Almonte and Blakeney? The Mill is in a beautiful setting and there are a few nice hiking trails on the property. I was just up there a couple of weeks ago.
