the key word is estimates & msft knows how to manage them wallstreet idiots. if year over year eps growth for msft DEC99 qurter is only going to be 5.2% .38 in 99 vs .37 in 98 (to me that is 2.7% but yahoo sez 5.25%) 90 days ago dec 99 estimates was .38 60 days ago .39 ( during the time insiders sold) 7 days ago estimates were lowered .38. it shoule be ez to beat that...year over year growth by 5% bingo all street sez is how great MSFT they always beat.. I m not old enugh to know what IBM did 10yrs ago as i did not follow these games at that time.
