Dutch,
If all of this truly FUD, then why doesn't INTC or Tate step up to the plate and address the issue? Just wondering, not going to sell at these levels, but what gives?
Whoa, bud! The CNET article was posted at 8:20PM Pacific Time last night. Niles just made his comments at about 6:15AM this morning. Why don't you let them get into the office first, maybe order up some coffee, call a meeting to evaluate the news, and put together a statement.
One of two things has happened: either Intel knew that they had these problems and decided to wait until the day before Camino ships to tell anyone (maybe they were going to wait until the day it ships, but the news leaked out), or they didn't know that they had this problem until 2 days before the boards ship, and now they have to adjust their plans and communicate it to us.
But it's 6:51AM right now on the West Coast. I'm sure that phones are ringing to either figure out how to put the story to bed or how to fix this latest issue.
For the bulls, this may be exactly what we ragged on the bears about re: AMD's Athlon. It may have come back to bite us. For the bears, remember how vigorously you claimed that it was just a minor hiccup for Athlon. Maybe this is, too.
