Economic Data for Friday, September 24, 1999 Existing Home Sales for August = -2.8% to 5.25m units nar.realtor.com the seasonally adjusted annual rate* of existing home sales dropped by 2.8 percent in August to a level of 5.25 million units, compared to the previous month. Despite the decrease, it marks the tenth consecutive month the sales pace has been above the five-million mark. Compared to August 1998, existing home sales increased by 9.2 percent.
