Erik, Thanks for this MONSTER post. How come everybody else can't see what I see:

1) The Zip is being used in place of a hard drive (it is the Catcher's Mitt for the internet).

2) If Asia and other third world markets are getting into the computer revolution (and they definitely will), it will be with a real computer like the Acer Basic with a Zip drive. Why should they pay over $2000 for a pentium when they can't afford it, and do not need when they can buy an Acer Basic.

3) It can't be as simple as I think it is, what am I missing?
