When I first heard the earthquake news I thought it could be good news: take some capacity out of the system, drive up prices, and if there was damaged production equipment it would have to be replaced. But I think maybe the market is right on this. It seems that with so much "just in time" inventory delivery, and with Taiwan being a major provider in some segments of the high tech pipeline, that a lot of assembly lines outside of Taiwan may have to slow down. So much production dependent on one main electricity transmission line in Taiwan. What is the latest word on where the Taiwanese are in getting their operations back on line?
