All: Not to belabor this pet peeve of mine, but the parroting
of this gratuitous fatuity seems to hold as a fixture of talk radio
callers to radio shows of all persuasions, even those with minimal
or no screening. It certainly adds nothing of informational or enter-
tainment value to the lot of the listeners. I advance the thesis that
there are two classes of people inhabiting the earth: those who
mouth "Thank you for taking my call" and those who spare their
fellow listeners of this infinitely repeated inanity and, instead, get
right to their point.

That being said, I shall not test the patience of this group by
laboring in this field longer with such a personal, perhaps petty,
qualm. Thank you for your indulgence.
