Ian: <<In case you can't tell, I think that the Taiwan Earthquake is going to be extraordinarily bullish for some of the equipment companies. First the maintenance services in Taiwan will be billable. Second, I believe that fabs will put more urgency on expanding rather than outsourcing - especially to an earthquake prone region. [Oops, isn't that where they built Silicon Valley?]>>

If this Taiwan quake is beneficial to the chip manufacturers, the market is showing it in a very sadistic way. Maybe it's a case of throwing the baby out with the bath water. It appeared today that anything remotely related to Taiwan was getting creamed. Well, maybe things will settle down over the weekend and sanity will return next week. It might help if MTSN would put out some sort of press release giving a preliminary assessment of the impact, be it positive or negative. However, they seem to be tongue tied these days. Have a good weekend. Phil
