It is the consensus of our friends & enemies that BJP will be back in the driver's seat.

If it gets into the driver's seat, it will want to show just who's the boss. And with 21 or 23 partners to share power with, that will be fun to watch. I give the NDA government no more than two years. And even those two years will be filled with constant bickerings and fights, a la the Janata Party in 1977.

IMHO, BJP has achieved a whole lot more in their 13 months in the driver's seat than they are given credit to.

Yeah, right. More attacks on minorities. More deaths in police custody. And more friction with all its neighbors. Yeah, maybe we should see some more of that!

Why US and the west considers India as a true friend in South Asia is entirely due to Vajpayee and his winning team.

Keep dreaming. In the economic arena, the US considers the 150 million or so middle-class people in India as a vast market for its consumer goods industry. And on the strategic front, it considers India as a pawn to achieve its geo-political goals. Nothing less, nothing more.
