Eric, Q is #1 in five (5)categories on The Motley Fool workshop rankings ( Mechanical Screens )for Sept. 24, 1999
-------------
source:

fool.com
-----------------

QCOM took first place in five categories (one more than last week by taking top spot in Keystone )
1) Formula 90 ( EPS 99 , RS 99 )
2) Relative Strength IBD ( " " )
3) Unemotional Growth ( " " )
4) Relative Strength 26 week ( " " )
5) Keystone

and 5th place in PEG5

Gemstar took 5th place in RS -26 week and 9th place in PEG 5. This was the first week that I noticed GMST on the workshop screens

What do these screens mean; check out the Workshop Screen Explanations at TMF:

I read a lot of threads on TMF and several investors swear by these mechanical screens; especially RS IBD and Keystone. A poster that I was corresponding with earlier this year was extremely successful with buying the top five in Keystone and then re-adjusting the five if required each month. Others buy the stock that has the most #1 rankings.
Therefore more buyers of Q next week.

Cheers,

David
