Prudential Starts eBay/Amazon At Strong Buy, Starts 4 More (EBAY)
(NewsTraders.com)-- Prudential Securities today initiated coverage on online auctioneer eBay Inc. (EBAY) with a "strong buy" rating and $185 target, according to a contact at the firm.
Prudential also named the company its "Single Best Idea" in the Internet sector.

Amazon.com (AMZN) and Digital River (DRIV) were also initiated with "strong buy" investment grades and respective $85 and $27 targets.

Of note, Amazon was previously rated at "hold" by another Prudential analyst, but coverage was switched at the firm and the new analyst started the company at the higher rating.

On the second-tier, Preview Travel (PTVL) was assigned an "accumulate" rating and $18 price objective.

Rounding out the bottom were Barnesandnoble.com (BNBN) and Beyond.com (BYND), which were both tagged at "hold" with $20 and $17 targets, respectively.

No further information was readily available.
