Ranii got a lot of it right but ENVOY only transmits what is on an electronic claim. It has the procedures charged and names and dates and diagnosis, and a number of other data points like date of birth that would be useful. But claim forms don't have symptoms or things like that. It takes a very sophisticated program to get out everything that could be revealed with such an enormous database and it probably will someday.
