(CATS) today announced that the Company
has strengthened its existing 10-year partnership with Oki Electric
Industry Co., Ltd. ("Oki") of Japan.
Under an agreement that extends the partnership through March of
1998, Oki will provide Catalyst with more than double the current
wafer capacity for both Flash memory and EEPROM products.
Michael Powell, Catalyst's Chairman and CEO, said, "In addition
to providing Catalyst with a significant increase in wafer capacity,
this agreement will allow the Company to be more cost competitive in
both the Flash and EEPROM memory areas.
