And even if they did understand Advantage Miles (doubtful for most people today), how could they as investor make any use of it?

I think it's easy with Internet stocks to see the potential, but there is this great discounting of years of build out to finally reach the level of future predictions.

I see Mapquest as a very interesting product, but how long before all the pieces fall into place to make it's potential really pay out, and will they still hold the leadership role when it happens?
