Ike, I looked at a few bank stocks, JPM came up on a scan. P/E 15 look pretty safe in this market environment. Friday's price change was only .86% but may be getting close to a bottom. We'll see how it acts Monday...I can see it returning to the 130 area pretty easily. If it dips below 115 I may try a few calls.

I had been watching ONE but it has performed the worst...of course I'm drawn to these more. I realized it's down because of it's credit card business...it's the largest in the country....w/ christmas season coming it just seems like it's due for a turn around here, but I'm not knowledgeable on the subject. But, looking at the fundamentals I like quality beaten down stocks. P/E 12

A lot of the banking charts have simular patterns the last 6mos. "choppy"

I often gage interest in a stocks/sectors by looking at the active options....AOL was hot Friday...no bank stocks....I can watch RT intraday activity but haven't been lately.

I've also been watch Citigroup for awhile. C has been holding support very well and a 10-15% swing is very possible here.
