engineer: Since you have clarified that Palm OS is not a full OS, i.e. it is "not a full OS which runs real time events", that makes me wonder whether the Q may not be better off with a full OS such as Symbian EPOC or Microsoft WinCE? Why Palm OS now? Is it simply because it is far and away the most used at the present time in the US and has many software add-ons by many separate independent suppliers?

And on WAP, they say when you try to explain something, you see if you really understand it yourself. I have that problem. When I try to explain WAP, I find I don't fully understand what it is. For example Nokia seems to have a browser which it says is WAP which is not from Phone.com but Spyglass as I understand it. Could you please help us all understand a bit better what the actual relationship of WAP to Phone.com (formerly Unwired Planet) is?

Best.
