Okay, I dpkg wdm --permanently_banish, and everything works fine (except for numlock). I still think there's a conflict with a keyboard map someplace. I'll play with it later today and sleuth it down. Hey, I just discovered the 'bb' program. Now THIS is innovation! I realy like the ascii fractal zooming. I think these guys should get together with a distro and make an ascii graphics installation wizard. :) -JCJ
