Easy now. Theorectically SI is a forum to discuss the merits of stocks as investments. I know that in practice it's a place for holders to glorify what they already own, and shorters to assail what they have already sold. But I originally posted on this board to get some honest opinions about PPRO. Maybe that's not possible. I know that I avoid posting on threads once I have a position in a stock, because I am no longer objective and I don't want to get into emotional "discussions" that have no real purpose.

I do think it's a little silly to talk about earnings growth with an internet stock. I thought I was giving PPRO (and the other biz-to-biz stocks) a break by discussing sales rather than earnings. If you want to discuss earnings, then PPRO's net loss rose from $1.7 million to $16.4 million for the most recent six month comparison. That's not earnings growth, that's earnings decay.

I think it's legitimate to compare one stock to another within the same industry group to measure relative valuations.

I certainly won't buy a stock if I don't like it, but thanks anyway for the advice. I never said anybody told me to buy it, I was just curious as to whether anyone could articulate why they liked it. The fact that it's the only one with a market cap under a billion doesn't, on its own, compell me. But like you said, who cares whether I like the stock.
