The outcome of this [Rambus] soap opera is far from being decided, and rmbs is still an unidentifiable critter. I'm going to stay far away from it until I can discern a predictable result.

We're in complete agreement. That's why I don't understand why you mention that I'm 180 degrees out of phase. We can disagree about Intel's dependence upon Rambus, but we appear to agree that the Rambus's product is still in the very, very risky stage of product development.

As for memory being a royalty game, I assume there are different kinds of memory. Remembering that I said I'm not an expert in Rambus, people here in the folder and articles in the press give me the imporession that Ranbus's memory is next-generation stuff based on proprietary technology. If that's true, there's no reason they can't make a gorilla game out of it.
