Good point Steve, and right you are. The frequency is important because they are not random things, but rather rationed by international agreement. One can appreciate the intended market for a system like net-locate simply by knowing its frequency. The lower the freq, for example, the more expansive the application. Likewise, some countries ignore international consensus anf go their own route -- like the US. By knowing what frequency it works on, one can appreciate the system's limits and capabilities, intended markets etc. Of course, if you don't give a hoot about the technology -- or if you don't even care if it exists as long as you get off your stock -- Who cares? might be an expected refrain.

In my experience, no investor has ever been hurt by having too much information. The question is: why do some people try to put a damper on such discussions? I mean, what's the purpose? Hmmm.
